The changing leaves and edible bounty of the fall season make it the best time to visit the Hudson Valley. Tour de Forks are offering an epicurean adventure to its heart, on September 29 - October 2. The 4 day/3 night immersion gives culinary adventurers a chance to enjoy the produce and beauty of Hudson Valley.
Day 1–Arrive in Hudson in the afternoon and check-in to the brand new boutique hotel, Rivertown Lodge, located on Warren Street.
The evening kicks off with a primer on the region's farm movement by ethno-botanist and gastronome, Katherine Millonzi. A short walk takes you to Hudson Food Studio, for a Southeast Asian inspired dinner.
Day 2–Transfer to the country for a mushroom foraging expedition, led by a member of the local mycology association and Chef Anita Lo. Chef Lo is the owner of Annisa in New York City, is one of the most respected chefs in the country, earning numerous accolades for her inventive Contemporary American cuisine that reflects her multicultural upbringing and classic French training. Transfer back to Hudson. Lunch and early afternoon at your leisure.
Late afternoon, meet with Chef Anita Lo at Valley Variety, a store selling a selection of beautiful products for cooking, gardening and home design. There is also a professional kitchen and dining room. A hands-on cooking class using the day's finds will be led by Chef Lo. Dinner with wine follows.
Day 3– Enjoy this morning to shop and explore the sites of Hudson. After lunch, transfer to the local farmer's market to select ingredients for your mixology class at a micro-distillery with mixologist, Kelley Slagle. A spirit-lifting experience!
The farewell dinner will be at NYC celeb Chef Zak Pelaccio of Fatty Crab and Fatty 'Cue new Hudson restaurant Fish & Game dedicated to showcasing regional bounty. Located in a former blacksmith's shop, Chef Pelaccio serves a seasonal menu of farm-to-table, New American fare.
Day 4–You are at leisure until your departure.
